Privacy policy

The short version

Puplr has no accounts, no logins and no database. Everything you type into a calculator is processed in your browser and never sent to a Puplr server. The only third parties that can see anything are the advertising and affiliate networks described below.

What Puplr itself stores

Puplr uses your browser's local storage for a small number of conveniences:

• Your selected country, so you do not have to pick it on every page.
• Your favourite puppy names.
• Which checklist items you have ticked.

That data lives in your browser on your device. It is not transmitted to Puplr, it is not readable by us, and clearing your browser data deletes it. Dates of birth, weights and any other value you type into a tool are held in the page only while it is open and are never stored or transmitted.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes the technical information your browser sends when it requests a page, including your IP address, user agent and the page requested, and may retain it for a limited period for security and operational purposes. Advertising

Puplr shows advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and in some cases to personalise them based on your prior visits to this and other sites.

• Google's use of advertising cookies is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's ad settings at myadcenter.google.com.
• If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can change that choice at any time from the link in the consent message.

Affiliate links

Some outbound product links on Puplr are affiliate links, marked with rel="sponsored". When you click one, the retailer or its affiliate network may set a cookie so that a resulting purchase is attributed to Puplr, and Puplr may earn a commission. Puplr receives aggregate commission reporting only. It does not receive your name, address, payment details or the contents of your basket.

Puplr participates in the Amazon Associates Program and equivalent programs run by pet retailers in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand. Amazon's privacy notice governs what Amazon does with your data once you are on their site.

Your rights

Because Puplr holds no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on request. To remove what is stored locally, clear site data for this domain in your browser settings. For data held by Google or by a retailer you clicked through to, contact them directly using the links above. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you retain your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR against those parties as controllers of that data.

Children

Puplr is a general audience site about dog care and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
