About Puplr
Puplr is a free set of puppy tools that work out dates and numbers instead of making you do it on the back of an envelope.
Why it exists
Bringing a puppy home dumps a pile of admin on you in week one. Three or four vaccinations at ages nobody writes down as dates. Worming every two weeks, from a date you have to remember. A feeding amount that changes as the puppy grows. Most of the answers online are American, which is fine if you are American and quietly wrong if you are not.
Puplr does the arithmetic. You give it a date of birth and a country, it gives you a schedule with real dates you can print or drop into a calendar. Same for feeding amounts and adult size.
How the information is sourced
The schedules come from published veterinary guidelines, not from blogs. The main ones are the WSAVA global vaccination guidelines, the AAHA canine vaccination guidelines in the United States, the Australian Veterinary Association, the British Veterinary Association and BSAVA in the United Kingdom, and the parasite guidance from ESCCAP in Europe and CAPC in the United States. Every schedule page lists its sources at the bottom with links, and every breed page links the kennel club page its numbers came from.
Where guidelines disagree with each other, and they do, the site says so rather than picking a winner. The final puppy dose age and the timing of the first booster are both live disagreements between organisations.
What Puplr is not
It is not veterinary advice and it cannot be. It does not know your puppy, your postcode, the disease pressure on your street, or what your clinic stocks. Every tool ends with the same instruction: take it to your vet. See the disclaimer.
How it pays for itself
Two ways, both disclosed. There are display ads on most pages, labelled as advertisements. And the starter kit boxes contain affiliate links: if you buy something after clicking one, Puplr earns a small commission at no extra cost to you. Products in those boxes are chosen because a puppy needs them, not because of what they pay. Puplr never quotes prices, because prices change and stale prices are worse than none.
Privacy, briefly
Nothing you type into a Puplr tool is sent anywhere. Birth dates, weights and favourite names are worked out in your browser and, where they are saved at all, saved in your browser's own storage. There are no accounts. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Who built it
Puplr is built and run by Dylan, who posts about what he builds as @dylan_builds on X. Corrections are genuinely welcome, especially from vets and vet nurses: if something here is out of date or wrong for your country, email dylandirectories11@gmail.com with a source and it gets fixed.
